Have you considered Class IV shingles? The Class IV rating is given by Underwriters Laboratories, to a product that meets certain standards. A Class IV rating tells you that a sample of the product did not crack when hit twice in the same area by a 2-inch steel ball.


We have several types available, and with all of these you will get a discount from your homeowners insurance. The exact amount depends on your insurance agent and the company, but it can be between 18% and 30%.


If you remove those old dried out shake shingles, and go back to traditional decking and Class IV shingles, you can save as much as 50% off of your homeowners insurance.


While installing the decking, if we install radiant barrier decking, this will save you 10% to 15% on your energy bill. Combine this with upgraded ventilation, and you can see realistic savings of up to 20% or more.
